History of the practice

History of the practice

Established in 1981, Family First is formerly known as Walk-In Medical Treatment Office in West Long Branch. Dr. Dennis Edgardo C. Mojares, Sr. has provided urgent care and minor surgery in this community for generations. This practice was the first Urgent Care Center in Monmouth County, and one of the first in the state of New Jersey. Dr. Richard A. Mojares, MD, FAAP joined the practice in 2002. He is dual board certified in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics, providing urgent care for all ages. Dr. Rich also admits patients to Monmouth Medical Center or Jersey Shore Medical Center if that level of care is warranted.

What is Urgent Care?

What is the difference between urgent and primary care?

Our urgent care centers are open for acute and non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries during the day, evenings and weekends. Our primary care office is open Monday through Friday to address preventative care and chronic medical conditions.

We are UCAOA (Urgent Care Association of America) certified.
